Freedom of Speech? Almost.

I know that people have things to say and there aren't too many places to say them, so there is a place now, but this blog is about Clay and about music. If you want to talk about things, you can go to Chexxxy's Place and hash it out. There is only one rule. No bashing Clay.

You are obviously not a proponent of freedom of speech or you wouldn't be wasting webspace mandating who is and isn't worthy of sticking around in Clay's fandom because their opinions are different than yours. Blog away, go nuts, make your way to the top of the "ones to watch and not for good reasons" list but please for you to blather on about believing in free speech? Bwah. Your board/blog; your rules. Perfect - it's all well and good and perfectly within your rights. Since Clay hasn't bothered to blog this gives the majority of the fandom a reason to laugh. It occupies our spare time. The basic understanding of freedom of speech would require you to recognize that others can have their blogs, their boards and be part of other boards expressing their opinions as well without being told they aren't a fan of Clay Aiken and to uninvite them from the fandom. Hypocrite much?

  2. I draw a line at bashing and ridicule. You appear to draw yours at criticism. Don't criticize unless you are able to take it yourself. C'est la vie.

You're dead wrong. Criticize till your hearts content. As a matter of fact, I'm begging you to continue your retoric because it's most entertaining. Obviously, my post, like the concept of freedom of speech went over your head. Carry on.

Anon at 5:32pm---Let me get this straight---You are upset because Chexxxy has set up an environment(new message board) that is a NO CLAY BASHING ZONE and for that she will be "on the list" and "not for good reasons". In what alternate universe do you reside? Ya,Im sure that TC is really concerned about REAL FANS that SUPPORT CLAY and choose NOT TO TRASH him. BWAH!!! I guess that your anger at Chexxxy stems from the fact that her blogs have called out and identified some of the two faced hypocrite "non fans" supposed fans. Too bad for you----BUSTED. She also believes in sharing all the "top secret information and topics" with everyone---not just the select elite who garner alot of ass sucking just to find out what the latest inside info is or deemed as the only ones worthy to discuss such things. (attention fame whores in my opinion) Oh and hiding behind that "freedom of speech" ploy is not fooling anyone either. It must really bug you that your "freedom to TRASH and BASH Clay" card has been revoked by at least one fans's newely created haven.

No, actually, I'm not upset at all about a new blog or a new board. I believe I encouraged that she continue to do so. Scream all you want. My issue isn't that people can't say what they want in her kingdom. It's that she says she's all about freedom of speech elsewhere but that anyone who doesn't share all of her opinions regarding Clay should be shown the door as they aren't real fans. The bottom line is that freedom of speech works both ways. I'm not hiding behind freedom of speech, I'm expressing it. Something that is lost on both of you. Note how you assume that I have a "trash and bash" Clay card simply because I don't fall in line with the theory that anyone who says anything negative about Clay be tossed out of the fandom. I hate to tell you this but even some of the most fan girly of fans are a bit shocked at anyone trying to eliminate other fans for expressing anything perceived by one person as negative.

5:32 - What is the point of obsessing about someone you dislike or cannot stand? Clay Aiken is a celebrity and Chexxy allows us to talk about him in a positive sense, as well as, a critical sense; but she does not allow him discussed about in a negative sense. What would be the point of you even making such a post, when you should know that it's pointless obsessing about someone you cannot stand or others you cannot stand because they disagree with you. No one cares about the drama or the scandal, they just want to hear Clay sing. You bring more drama over here at Chexxy's by attacking her, when her forum here is one of the only that allows free speech. It also isn't a dirty blog and doesn't talk nasty towards people. Maybe you should go back to Clay's stalkers blog, because apparently that is the type of blog you are looking for.

Whatever happened to trusting Clay and respecting his word? On the Larry King interview he said he is no longer going to discuss his private life. He has stated he has answered the question before and he is tired of answering. He is not gay. He may not be straight, but he definitely is not gay. Chexxy is one of the few that is not ignorant about that and you come over here attacking her, because she doesn't agree with you. Leave her alone.

Wow. I don't know why you're getting so worked up over this. The only rule here is - no bashing. Anotherwords - just don't attack, mock or ridicule. This isn't another version of the Clayboard here. You can say you didn't like his clothes, his hairstyle, or a certain song, as long as you do it respectfully. And as adults, we all know how to be respectful I'm sure.

Chexxy, do you know where I can hear Lover All Alone? Is it true he mentions the word "she" in the song? I remember hearing him say it a few times in the song. John and the rest of ignorant O&P gays are trying to say it's a gender bending song, but I beg to differ.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anonymous7:30 PM

I do not think "she" was stated in that song, but there are others that it has. I wouldn't worry about it. Clay is not gay.

Mario Vasquez's CD sales are terrible, yet Clay's stalker is so quick to saying how wonderful he is doing. Clay is doing just fine. He will do even better once he signs with 143 Records and gets away from RCA.

Meatloaf sang "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" Does that make him gay, as well? There is absolutely nothing wrong with singing the gender bending songs. Most of my favorite artists and bands sing gender bending songs. It does not determine one's orientation. You are foolish and quite delusional if you think that is so.

Anon at 7:09pm---I see that I did hit a nerve with you since you responded again, hiding behind that freedom of speech cloak that you so proudly TRY to wear. There is a limit to where that "freeom of speech" that you campaign for turns into "defamation of character". It has a legal definition--go look it up. I guess in a loose sense of the word, where that line begins is subjective(as applied to this fandom) I assume that such a line does not exist in your Clay fandom---anything goes and is fair game as long as you qualify it and say that you are a "fan". Therefore ,your derogatory comments about Clay should be welcomed with open arms---cause after all---you are a fan and not a "hater".(and-- oh yes---let us not forget---you have a right to "freedom of speech") Do you really think you are fooling anybody with that(in my view)CRAP? You are very transparent as to whose side you are on. I see you forgot to respond as to why Chexxy and her FREEDOM to discuss along with a NO CLAY BASHING POLICY would get her to the top of TC's LIST. BWAH AGAIN!!!!! Time for work gotta go.

"In 1976, Elton released the live album Here and There in May, then the downbeat Blue Moves in October, which contained the memorable but even gloomier hit "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word". His biggest success in 1976 was the "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", a peppy duet with Kiki Dee that topped both the American and British charts. Finally, in an interview with Rolling Stone that year entitled "Elton's Frank Talk", a stressed John stated that he was bisexual."

Isn't that funny how he has always stated he was bisexual, yet the O&P gays insist that he is gay just because his current love and partner happens to be a male? I think the gay men are just bitter and mad because Clay won't come out as gay. Why on earth would Clay come out? There is no need. He is not gay.

Hey, I didn't know we let old farts in here? Has your head been picking up signals in the microwave again? Didn't know you could predict the future? One would think you might even have something to do with the rumors?

You do know, old man, that accusing someone of a crime without proof is a crime in and of itself and you can and will be arrested. And don't think the Feds and Clay's lawyers don't know EXACTLY who you are and where you are. Three years of your threats to destroy Clay's career are in their possession, which is where this one is going.

That's okay, you old perve, keep it up. Oh wait, you can't! Well, pretend you're doing Kelly then. Maybe that old hose of yours might sprout an inch or so.

I don't always agree with everything Clay, and never have I been called a bad fan.

However I am a little offended, I wrote that post on that last blog about some of you being paranoid, and was called Groucho..lol

I'm the complete opposite of that disgusting pig, I'm a fan through and through, nothing will change that. I love Clay and his music.

This is off topic but does anyone know how I can hear "If you don't know me by now"? I heard it when Chexxxy had it on here but I love it so much and there are no K-Marts in Texas that I know of. I can't believe it wasn't on the album along with "Lover all Alone". I know there are other fans that feel this way.

Chexxxy, you don't have to post this because it is off topic. Just answer in code, if you want. Thanks.

Hi 7:50 PM. You are so right. People have been hiding behind freedom of speech for a long time. Just because someone claims to be a fan, does not mean they are a fan or that they can say anything. Remember there is a thing called common decency. There is nothing wrong with an opposing opinion but it should at least be respectful. And if you don't like something that's ok, just don't get in my face about it for weeks on end and in post after post. And don't ridicule Clay on one board and then openly plan to try to embarass Clay and his friends and family but then say something entirely different on other boards. The word hypocrite comes to mind. The rest of us aren't stupid. We read what you write and hear about your antics. Some who do this claim to be fans but your actions and outright lies say otherwise.
